Chicago Fire Brick Company
(CFB) was founded in 1900. Its reputation for quality refractory
products and personal service grew steadily throughout its century long
existence. CFB is specifically known in the industry for its
line of high quality, cost effective cupola refractories. Allied Mineral Products, Inc. purchased Chicago
Fire Brick in December 2002 and is committed to continuing the CFB
tradition of manufacturing effective cupola refractories while providing
the same personalized service.

American Precast
Refractories Division joined Allied
Mineral Products, Inc. in 1995, and it became a fully integrated
division of Allied in 2003. American Precast Refractories
Division specializes in the design and manufacture of precast
refractory shapes using unique refractories provided by Allied and
Matrix.
American Precast Refractories Division helps Allied provide complete
engineered solutions for its customers. It offers a complete line of
shapes utilized in coreless and channel induction furnaces, cupolas, gas
fired furnaces, reverbatory and heat treating furnaces as well as shapes
for electric arc furnaces in steel melting and an assortment of shapes for
the integrated steel industry.
Allied Metallurg South Africa (Pty) Ltd. (AMETSA)began manufacturing the Allied product line in 1998, and today it produces
the complete line of Allied and Matrix products for sale
into South Africa and neighboring markets. AMTESA is a full
service company with its own dedicated sales team that serves various
industries in differing applications including integrated steel works,
foundry, primary and secondary aluminum, power, and all non-ferrous
industries.
AMETSA is a
joint venture between Allied Mineral Products, Inc. and
Metallurg South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
Allied Mineral Products (Tianjin)
Co., Ltd. (AMT) produces the complete line of [Matrix
and] Allied’s refractory products in Tianjin, China. AMT markets
these products in the Chinese foundry and aluminum industries through its
dedicated sales force located throughout China. It also exports these
products to global markets through the Allied International Sales team.
AMT is wholly
owned by Allied and began production in 1998. AMT’s success
and growth required the construction of a new, larger manufacturing
facility in 2003. This new facility is located in Tianjin also and will begin
production in 2004.
Allied Mineral Products,
Europe - Allied Mineral Products, Inc. established it's
fully staffed sales organization in Europe throughout the decade of the 1990's.
Allied has direct sales representatives in The Benelux, Germany, and Poland.
These representatives call on accounts within their geographical territories and provide
service to Allied's Distributors in Sweden, England, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary,
and Turkey.
Gradmatic Equipment Inc.
- Gradmatic Equipment Inc. offers the foundry industry, innovative, new
technology to line coreless induction furnaces with dry, refractory
materials. Allied Mineral Products, Inc. is the Gradmatic
sales representative for Canada, US, and Mexico.
American Foundrymen's Society(AFS) - The mission of the AFS today is "to provide and
